Password Reset
Forgot your password or need to change it for security reasons? Follow these steps to reset your Source Parts account password.
Reset Your Password
Step 1: Request Password Reset
- Go to the login page
- Click "Forgot Password?"
- Enter your registered email address
- Click Send Reset Link
Step 2: Check Your Email
- Look for an email from noreply@source.parts
- Check spam/junk folder if not in inbox
- The reset link expires in 1 hour
Step 3: Create New Password
- Click the reset link in the email
- Enter your new password
- Confirm by entering it again
- Click Reset Password
Password Requirements
Your new password must meet these requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters long
- At least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
- At least one lowercase letter (a-z)
- At least one number (0-9)
- At least one special character (!@#$%^&*)
💪 Strong Password Tips
- • Use a passphrase: "MyDog$Loves2Run!"
- • Avoid personal information like birthdays
- • Don't reuse passwords from other sites
- • Consider using a password manager
Change Password (When Logged In)
To change your password while logged in:
- Go to Account Settings → Security
- Click Change Password
- Enter your current password
- Enter and confirm your new password
- Click Save Changes
Troubleshooting
Didn't Receive the Email?
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Verify you entered the correct email address
- Add noreply@source.parts to your contacts
- Wait a few minutes and try again
- Contact support if issues persist
Reset Link Expired?
- Links expire after 1 hour for security
- Request a new reset link
- Complete the reset promptly
Account Locked?
After 5 failed login attempts, your account is temporarily locked:
- Wait 15 minutes and try again
- Use the password reset process
- Contact support for immediate unlock
